DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1: DEPARTURE TO EGYPT

Today we depart from the United States to Egypt. Enjoy superb in-flight service and meals as we cross the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 2: ARRIVE CAIRO/TRANSFER

Arrive in Cairo. Meet our representative who will assist us. Transfer to your hotel.
Overnight – Cairo (D)

Day 3: MEMPHIS/SAKKARA/PYRAMIDS/SPHINX

Breakfast in hotel. Tour to Memphis and Sakkara, followed by visits to the great Pyramids of Giza, the Valley Temple and the Sphinx.
Overnight – Cairo (B,D)

Day 4: MUSEUM/CITADEL/OLD CITY/BAZAAR

Breakfast in hotel. Tour the Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Muhammed Ali Mosque, Old City of Cairo, Ib’n-Ezra Synagogue, El Muallaqa (hanging) Church, City of the Dead and Kahn El Khalili Bazaar.

Day 5: FLIGHT/ABU SIMBEL/TEMPLE/FLIGHT/ASWAN

After breakfast, early morning transfer for flight to Abu Simbel. Tour the monumental temple that was built by Ramses II and other magnificent historical sites. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day 6: BEGIN NILE CRUISE/ELEPHANTINE ISLAND/LORD KITCHENER'S/AGHA KAHN MAUSOLEUM

Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to cruise embarkation. Start your 4 day/3 night Nile Cruise. Sightseeing includes: Elephantine Island, Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Overnight – Aboard cruiser (B,L,D)

Day 7: NILE CRUISE/HIGH DAM/OBELISK/TEMPLE OF PHILAE/KOM OMBO

Breakfast on cruiser. Visit the High Dam in Aswan and the Quarries where the granite stones were cut to build the ancient monuments and the Dam. See the unfinished Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Temple of Philae. Further up the Nile, visit the unique twin Greco Roman Temples of Kom Ombo.

Day 8: NILE CRUISE/EDFU/TEMPLE OF HORUS

Morning arrival at Edfu. A horse-drawn carriage will take you to the largest and best preserved Egyptian Temple, that of Horus. Return to your ship and enjoy the beautiful sunset along the Nile as we cruise towards Luxor.

Day 9: LUXOR/AVENUE OF SPHINX/TEMPLE OF LUXOR/KARNAK TEMPLE/VALLEY OF KINGS/FLIGHT/CAIRO

Disembarkation from cruise. Start an exciting full-day tour of the city of Luxor. Visits include: Avenue of the Sphinx and the Temple of Luxor. Tour the famous and most impressive Karnak Temple, which was built over a period of 2000 years. On to the Valley of the Kings, where dozens of ancient tombs have been discovered. Afterwards, transfer to airport for flight to Cairo. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Overnight – Cairo (B,D)

Day 10: FREE DAY IN CAIRO

Free day in Cairo. Spend your day visiting the local markets for last minute shopping and browsing, or just enjoy the local atmosphere.

Day 11: TRANSFER/RETURN FLIGHT TO THE UNITED STATES

Breakfast in hotel. Today we transfer to Cairo airport for our return flight to the United States. (B)
