Tuesday, September 12 - Departure from
Chicago to Cape Town

Today we depart from Chicago to Cape Town. Enjoy on-board meals and entertainment while we cross the Atlantic Ocean as our journey to South Africa begins.

Wednesday, September 13 - Cape Town

We arrive to Cape Town International Airport and will be met by our English-speaking Guide who will escort us to our coach. Transfer to our hotel in Cape Town. The rest of the day is at leisure. In the evening enjoy a Welcome Dinner in our hotel. Overnight - Cape Town (D)

Thursday, September 14 - Cape Town - CapePeninsula - Cape Town

After breakfast we depart along the Atlantic Ocean coast to Clifton, Bantry Bay and Camps Bay. We will stop for pictures in Hout Bay, followed by a cruise to Seal Island. Visit the Cape of Good Hope's Nature Reserve, called Cape Point, where the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans meet. Enjoy a spectacular view over the wide-open sea. We drive back to Cape Town via Muizenberg, Fishhoek, Simons Town and Rondebosch. We stop for a visit to the famous Kirstensbosch Botanical Gardens before returning to our hotel. Friday, September 15 - Cape Town - Wineland - Cape Town

After breakfast we depart for a tour of the Wineland and Stellenbosch. Stellenbosch is a historical university town and the second oldest settlement in South Africa, situated in the heart of the Wineland. Old Oak trees, water channels, which still run alongside the roads, characterize this town. Many of the town's buildings are built in the Cape-Dutch architecture style. We will now drive to a wine cellar for a short tour and enjoy wine tasting of local wineries. Buffet lunch at the Wine-land is included. Overnight - Cape Town (B/L)

Saturday, September 16 - Free day in Cape Town

Breakfast in hotel. This entire day is free for rest or optional activities in Cape Town. Explore the waterfront, museums and Table Mountain on your own. Overnight - Cape Town (B)

Sunday, September 17 - Cape Town – Flight to Johannesburg - Tour Pretoria - Soweto

Breakfast in hotel. This morning we transfer to Cape Town Airport and fly to Johannesburg. We will be met by an English speaking guide and board our coach for a tour of Pretoria. Visit the Kruger House and the VoortrekkerMonument. Upon returning to Johannesburg we will visit the famous township of Soweto, formerly the home of Nelson and Winnie Mandela, by vans. Overnight - Johannesburg (B)

Monday, September 18 - Johannesburg – Kruger National Park

After breakfast we begin our excursion to the Kruger National Park with a stop at the the Shangaan Cultural Village with an authentic African Folklore. Upon arrival to Kruger Park we will check in to our chalet bungalows, located at a Rest Camp inside the Kruger National Park. The afternoon is at leisure. In the evening enjoy a Boma Dinner, (open fire barbecue), followed by an unforgettable night Safari with a professional Game Ranger. Overnight - Rest Camp at KrugerPark (B/D)

Tuesday, September 19 - KrugerNational Park

After breakfast enjoy a Morning and Afternoon Safari in a 4x4 open vehicle with a professional game Ranger. Remainder of the day at leisure. Lunch is included today. In the evening we will have another Boma dinner. Overnight - Rest Camp at KrugerPark (B/L/D)

Wednesday, September 20 - God's Windows - MacMacFalls - Pilgrim's Rest - Robert's Pass - Mapumalanga

After breakfast we leave KrugerNational Park and drive to God's Windows for a breathtaking view, followed by a visit to MacMac Falls. From here we continue to Pilgrim's Rest, a perfect replica of a 19th century gold rush town. We now continue to Robber’s Pass and end the day at our hotel. Overnight - Mapumalanga (B/D)

Thursday, September 21 - Drive to Johannesburg - Free - Farewell Dinner

After breakfast we drive back to Johannesburg and check in to our hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure or optional activities on your own. In the evening we will have our Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight - Johannesburg (B/D)

Friday, September 22 - Flight home

Our flight back home will depart Johannesburg this evening.
