Join us on this exciting and Inspirational Tour of Rome and the Amalfi Coast.  This tour will have a unique blend of fellowship, history, culture and spectacular scenery.  If you missed any of our previous tours, you cannot afford to miss this one!  This fully escorted tour includes visits to Rome, the Catacombs, Vatican, Coliseum, Pompeii, Sorrento, Naples, the Majestic Isle of Capri and the Amalfi Coast.  You will also have the opportunity to enjoy the world renowned cuisine of Southern Italy in local Italian restaurants.

MONDAY                               OCTOBER 29

Today we depart from Chicago to Rome. Enjoy superb in-flight services, entertainment and meals as you cross the Atlantic Ocean.

TUESDAY                              OCTOBER 30

We arrive to Rome’s Fiumicino Airport. Immediately after Passport Control, meet a representative who will assist us to pick up our luggage. Proceed to our private bus that will transfer us to our hotel in Rome. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. (D) Dinner and Overnight - Rome

WEDNESDAY                        OCTOBER 31

Breakfast in hotel. We begin the day with a visit to the Vatican City, a state and a city all in one. Visit the Vatican Museum, gaze at Michelangelo's masterpiece ceiling fresco, depicting the history of the creation in the Sistine Chapel. View the vast collection of art and antiquities, the Candelabra Gallery, Map Gallery and the Tapestries. We will also visit St. Peter's Basilica and St. Peter's Square. In the afternoon, we visit the Coliseum and the San Callisto Catacombs. Continue with a view of the Roman Forum and time permitting, we will view the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. In the evening we will enjoy local cuisine in a nearby restaurant. (B, D)

1THURSDAY                           NOVEMBER 1

Breakfast in hotel. Today we leave Rome and transfer to the train station. We travel on the EuroStar Fast Train in First Class cabins to Naples. We travel to Naples through the regions of Lazio and Campania. Upon arrival to Naples, we meet our bus and transfer to Sorrento and check into our hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore on your own. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (B, D)

FRIDAY                                  NOVEMBER 2

Breakfast in hotel. Today we will visit the world’s most famous and beautiful island - The Isle of Capri. We sail to the island on a hydrofoil jet. Explore Capri’s historic legacy and natural beauty.  In the 19th century, Alex Munthe, an eccentric Swedish doctor, built the beautiful Villa San Michele atop the ruins of Capri’s Roman palaces and villas. A shady garden offers splendid view of the island and the bay. Visit Piazza Umberto, where there are several open-air cafes. View the gardens of Augustus, overlooking the famed Faraglioni Rocks and Marina Piccola, where Grace Fields once lived. Time and weather permitting, an optional visit to the Blue Grotto will be available. After returning to Sorrento we will enjoy a Pizza Party in a local restaurant. (B, D)

SATURDAY                           NOVEMBER 3

Breakfast in hotel. Today we journey along the spectacular Amalfi coast to Positano and Ravello, nestling in magnificent landscape and greenery. We stop for a panoramic view of Positano with its white cubic houses and to the historic town of Amalfi to visit the local Cathedral. Continue through deep ravines and majestic hills leading us to lovely Ravello, dramatically overlooking the Gulf of Sorrento. Visit the 13th century Villa Rufolo.  Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

1SUNDAY                                 NOVEMBER 4

Breakfast in hotel.  Today we will visit Pompeii. In 79AD the eruption of Mount Vesuvius buried the city of Pompeii in a blanket of ash and pumice stone. For centuries the town laid abandoned until the well-preserved ruins were unearthed. We take a slow walk through the ancient streets of Pompeii where we can see the baths, forums and villas. Afterwards, we drive to Mt. Vesuvius, the only active volcano on the European mainland that dominates the Bay of Naples. In the evening, we will enjoy a dinner and Musical Show in the Theatre of Sorrento, depicting cultural roots through song and dance. (B, D)

MONDAY                              NOVEMBER 5

Breakfast in hotel. Today we travel to Naples, one of Italy’s most beautiful cities. Landmark sights include the Teatro San Carlo, Italy’s oldest and largest opera house and Castel Nuovo.  Visit the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, where most of the treasures of Pompeii and Herculaneum are housed for safekeeping. Return to our hotel. (B, D)

Breakfast in hotel. Today is free for rest and relaxation on your own. Enjoy! In the evening, we will have our Farewell Gala Dinner at the elegant Franceeschiello Restaurant. (B, D)

RESERVATIONS & SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS: All reservations for this tour are confirmed upon receipt of your Registration Form and a non-refundable deposit of $300.00 per person, which is due APRIL 1, 2007. A second deposit of $200.00 per person is due JUNE 1, 2007.  Final payment is due SEPTEMBER 1, 2007.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS & SITES: All hotel accommodations are based on double occupancy with private bath. Participants without a roommate will have to pay the single room surcharge.  The sequence of visits to sites may change according to the discretion of the tour operator and guides if they deem necessary. In case sequence is changed, all items on the itinerary will still be covered.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: Final payment is fully refundable, (excluding the non-refundable deposits of $ 500.00 per person), until SEPTEMBER 1, 2007.  Cancellations made after SEPTEMBER 1, 2007 become non-refundable and can only be recovered through a travel insurance policy. All cancellations must be made in writing to Heavenly Tours. Travel insurance is highly recommended.

UNUSED SERVICES: No refunds will be made for unused touring, meals or any other program components stated in the itinerary.

PASSPORT/VISA/VACCINATIONS: Valid passport is required. No vaccinations or visas are needed.

TAXES & FEES INCLUDED: Entrance fees to all sites on scheduled tours. Portage of one suitcase per person is included. 

FEES NOT INCLUDED: Passport Fees, Travel Insurance, meals, drinks, wines, liquors and beverages not included in itinerary, items of personal nature such as phone calls, laundry and sites other than those mentioned. Tips to guides, drivers and hotel staff are not included. Airport Departure Taxes, Security Fee and Fuel Surcharge are not included in the price of the tour and will be invoiced to you.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Travel Insurance is optional; however, we highly suggest and recommend the purchase of insurance. It is suggested that the insurance premium be paid directly to the insurance company at the time of your initial deposit in order to cover the “pre-existing conditions clause”. Travel insurance can be obtained via Heavenly Tours’ web site at

AIR/LAND FARES: Air and land rates of this tour are based on current tariffs in effect for today, January 24, 2007. Rates are based on a group of 20 paying passengers. Flight tickets for this tour are based on NONREFUNDABLE airfare. The price of the tour is based on the Euro. In case of currency fluctuations of more than 3%, Heavenly Tours reserves the right to adjust the price of the tour accordingly. 

PURCHASE OF MERCHANDISE: Heavenly International Tours is not to be held responsible for any items purchased during the tour, not for their quality nor their prices. All and any purchase will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.

METHOD OF PAYMENTS: Checks or Money Orders only, made payable to Heavenly International Tours.

LUGGAGE: Each person is allowed (1) suitcase only, which will be handled for you throughout the tour.  Maximum size is 29” high and maximum weight is 50 Lbs.

TOUR DATES: As in any Trans-Atlantic flights, tour dates may slightly change according to the requirements of participating air carriers. Please allow some flexibility. In the event dates and times of flights are changed, Heavenly International Tours will not be held responsible and refunds will not be available based on this reason.
