Wednesday, March 10
DEPARTURE FLIGHT TO ISRAEL

Today we depart from Chicago to Tel Aviv, Israel.

THURSDAY, MARCH 11
ARRIVE IN ISRAEL/TEL AVIV

Arrive in Israel. Meet a representative who will assist us through customs. Meet our guide and proceed for a short walking tour of Jaffa and then to our hotel, located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. A refreshing Jaffa orange juice will be waiting for us upon arrival.

FRIDAY, MARCH 12
aCAESAREA/MT. CARMEL/MEGIDDO/ NAZARETH/CANA/GALILEE


After breakfast we drive to Caesarea, once a proud Roman port city dating back to the time of Pontius Pilate. View the monumental Roman amphitheater built in the days of Christ. Travel to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah held a contest against the false prophets of Baal. Next, travel to Megiddo, overlooking the plains of Armageddon and visit the site of the 21 superimposed cities. Travel to Nazareth where Jesus spent the silent years of his life and visit Mary’s Well. Afterwards, visit Cana, site of the first miracle where Jesus turned water to wine. We will now drive to our hotel in the Galilee.

SATURDAY, MARCH 13
MT. BEATITUDES/ TABGHA/ CAPERNAUM/ BOAT RIDE-FISH LUNCH/BAPTISMAL SITE

After breakfast our first stop will be Mt. Beatitudes. Near here Jesus gave the Beatitudes and taught on many occasions. Here he also performed many of the miracles. Travel to Tabgha, where 5000 were fed by Jesus who performed the miracle of the multiplication of the fish and loaves. Continue to Capernaum where much of the Galilean Ministry took place. Afterwards, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and hear how Jesus calmed the stormy sea and walked upon these waters. Enjoy a traditional St. Peter’s fish lunch. From here we continue to Yardenit Baptismal site on the Jordan River, where time will be available for an optional baptismal service.

SUNDAY, MARCH 14
CAESARIA PHILIPPI/GOLAN VIEW/ KORAZIM/GIDEON SPRINGS/BEIT SHEAN

After breakfast we ascend the Golan Heights. Our guide will explain why this area is so vital to Israel’s security. We continue to Caesarea Philippi. From here we drive to Gideon Springs, the site where Gideon’s soldiers drank the water before the faithful battle on Mt. Gilboa. From her we drive to Beit Shean and view the well-preserved mosaic floor and Byzantine city.

MONDAY, MARCH 15
aMASADA/DEAD SEA/VIEW OF EIN GEDI WATERFALLS/QUMRAN/JERUSALEM

After breakfast we drive through the Jordan Valley to Masada. Ascend Masada by cable car. Our guide will take us on a fascinating tour of this mountain where 960 Jewish defenders organized the last resistance to the Roman Conquerors. Descend Masada and travel to the Dead Sea for an optional float in the salty waters. We continue to view Ein Gedi waterfalls followed by a short visit to Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. We will now ascend the hills of Jerusalem towards the "Eternal City of God".

TUESDAY, MARCH 16
MT. OF OLIVES/ CARDO/WAILING WALL/ GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE

After breakfast visit the Old City of Jerusalem. The Biblical and historical importance of Jerusalem is known to Jews, Christians and Moslems alike. At the start of the morning, drive to the crest of Mt. of Olives where the entire city of Jerusalem unfolds before us. Today’s walking tour includes: Garden of Gethsemane, Pools of Bethesda, Upper Room of the Last Supper, Ecce Homo Arch, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Wailing Wall, Cardo, Jewish Quarters and Oriental Bazaars. We end the day at Gethsemane, believed to be the site where Jesus and his disciples prayed the night before Jesus' crucifixion.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17
MODEL/SHRINE OF THE BOOK/CITY OF DAVID/HEZEKIAH TUNNEL/GARDEN TOMB

After breakfast we begin with a visit to a Model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem, dating back to the time of the Second Temple. Visit the nearby Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are on display. From here we continue for a visit of the City of David and walk through Hezekiah Tunnel. Next we drive to the Garden Tomb where a communion service will be held. (B/D)

THURSDAY, MARCH 18
FREE DAY IN JERUSALEM/FAREWELL DINNER/TRANSFER TO AIRPORT

Breakfast in hotel. Leisure day ... Enjoy! In the evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner and say SHALOM to our guide. Later this evening we will transfer to the airport for our flight home. Late-Check-Out - Jerusalem (B/D)

TERMS & CONDITIONS
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

RESERVATIONS & SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS: All reservations for this tour are confirmed upon receipt of your Registration Form and a non-refundable deposit of $200.00 per person, which is due upon reservation and no later than June 15, 2009. A second non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is due September 1, 2009. Final payment is due January 10, 2010.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS & SITES: All hotel accommodations are based on double occupancy with private bath. NOTE: We will attempt to find a roommate for single travelers desiring to share a room. However, if we are unable to find a roommate, or you do not accept our selection, the single room supplement will apply. The sequence of visits to sites may change according to the discretion of the tour operator and guide if they deem necessary. In case sequence is changed, all items on the itinerary will still be covered.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: The Initial Deposit and Second Deposit are non-refundable. Final payment is fully refundable, (excluding the non-refundable deposits of $400.00 per person), until January 10, 2010. Cancellations after January 10, 2010 become non-refundable and can only be recovered through a travel insurance policy. Please note that deposits and final payments for the tour cannot be changed from one person to another. All cancellations must be made in writing to Heavenly International Tours. Travel insurance is highly recommended.

UNUSED SERVICES: No refund will be available for unused touring, meals or any other program components stated in the itinerary.

PASSPORT, VISA & VACCINATIONS: Valid passport for 6 months after the tour has ended is required. No vaccinations or visa are required from U.S. Citizens to enter Israel. Complete Passport information as requested in the enclosed Registration Form must be submitted to Heavenly International Tours prior to January 10, 2009.

TAXES & FEES INCLUDED: Entrance fees to all sites on scheduled tours. Porterage of ONE suitcase per person is included. Hotel surcharges.

FEES NOT INCLUDED: Passport Fees, Travel Insurance, meals, drinks, wines, liquors and beverages not mentioned in itinerary. Items of personal nature, such as phone calls, laundry, room service and sites other than those mentioned. 

ADDITIONAL CHARGES NOT INCLUDED: Tips to guides, drivers and hotel staff are not included, ($130.00 per person ). Airport Departure Taxes, Security Fees and Fuel Surcharges, (charged by airlines and Governments), are not included and will be invoiced to you with your final payment.  The current rate of the above fees is $350.00 per person and is subject to change

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Travel Insurance is optional. However, we highly suggest and recommend the purchase of insurance. It is suggested that the insurance premium will be paid directly to the insurance company at the time of your initial deposit in order to cover the “Pre-existing Condition/s Clause” of the insurance. AIR & LAND FARES: Air and land rates of this tour are based on current tariffs in effect as of April 15, 2009. Flight tickets for this tour are based on NON-REFUNDABLE group airfare.

PURCHASE OF MERCHANDISE: Heavenly International Tours is not to be held responsible for any item/s purchased during the tour, not for their quality nor their prices. All and any purchase will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.

METHOD OF PAYMENTS: Check or Money Order only, made payable to: Heavenly International Tours.

LUGGAGE:  Each person is allowed (1) suitcase and a carry-on only, which will be handled for you throughout the tour. Maximum size of suitcase is 29” high and maximum weight is 50 pounds.

TOUR DATES: As in any trans-Atlantic flight, tour dates may slightly change according to the requirements of the participating air carrier. Please allow yourself some flexibility. In the event dates and times of flights are changed, Heavenly Tours will not be held responsible and refunds will not be available based on this reason.


IMPORTANT NOTES:

If you do not have a current passport, please apply within the proper time limit. It can take 6 - 8 weeks to process a new Passport.
