Monday March 16

Today we depart from Chicago to Tel Aviv, Israel.

Tuesday March 17

ARRIVE IN TEL AVIV/TOUR OF JAFFA

Arrive in Israel. Meet a representative who will assist you through customs. Meet your guide and proceed for a short tour of Jaffa. From here we drive to our hotel, located on the shores of the Mediterranean. A refreshing Jaffa orange juice will be waiting for you upon arrival. (D)

Wednesday March 18

CAESAREA/MT.CARMEL/MEGIDDO/NAZARETH/ CANA

After breakfast begin the tour with a visit to Caesarea, once a proud Roman port city dating back to the time of Pontius Pilate. View the monumental Roman amphitheater built in the days of Christ. Travel to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah held a contest against the false prophets of Ba’al. Next, travel to Megiddo, overlooking the plains of Armageddon and visit the site of the 21 superimposed cities. Travel to Nazareth where Jesus spent the silent years of his life and visit Mary’s well. Afterwards, visit Cana, site of the first miracle where Jesus turned water to wine. We will now drive to our hotel in the Galilee. (B, D)

Thursday March 19

MT. BEATITUDES/TABGHA/CHURCH OF PRIMACY/CAPERNAUM/BOAT RIDE-FISH LUNCH/BEIT SHEAN

After breakfast the first stop will be the Mt. Beatitudes. Near here Jesus gave the Beatitudes and taught on many occasions. Here he also performed many of the miracles. Travel to Tabgha, where Jesus performed the miracle of the multiplication of the fish and loaves and fed 5000. Nearby we will visit the Church of Primacy, where Jesus appeared to his Disciples after his resurrection. Continue to Capernaum where much of the Galilean Ministry took place. Afterwards, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and hear how Jesus calmed the stormy sea and walked upon these waters. Enjoy a traditional St. Peter’s fish lunch. We will now drive to Beit Shean and view the well-preserved mosaic floor and ancient ruins. (B, L, D)

Friday March 20

KIBBUTZ TOUR/GOLAN/CAESAREA PHILIPPI/ GADARENES/ KORAZIM/YARDENIT BAPTISMAL SITE

After breakfast begin the day with a tour of the Kibbutz and explore this unique way of life. From here ascend the Golan Heights. Our guide will explain why this area is so vital to Israel’s security. Visit to the sacred site of Caesarea Philippi. We descend the Golan Heights and visit Gadarenes and Korazim. We end the day at Yardenit Baptismal site on the Jordan River, where time will be available for an optional baptismal service. (B, D)

Saturday March 21

GIDEON SPRINGS/MASSADA/DEAD SEA/KING DAVID’S WATERFALLS/QUMRAN/JERUSALEM

After breakfast we drive to Gideon Springs, where Gideon’s army drank the water. From here we drive through the Jordan Valley to Massada. Ascend by cable car. Our guide will take us on a fascinating tour of this mountain where 960 Jewish defenders organized the last resistance to the Roman Conquerors. Descend Massada and travel to Kibbutz Ein Gedi to view King David’s Waterfalls and then to the Dead Sea for an optional float in the salty waters. Our next stop is at Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. We will now ascend the hills of Jerusalem to the "Eternal City of God". (B, D)

Sunday March 22

MT. OF OLIVES/CARDO/WESTERN WALL/ GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE/CAIAPHAS’ HOUSE & DUNGEON/COURTYARD OF PETER’S CONFESSION

After breakfast visit the Old City of Jerusalem. Jews, Christians and Moslems alike know the biblical and historical importance of the City of Jerusalem. At the start of the morning, drive to the crest of Mt. of Olives where the entire city of Jerusalem unfolds before us. Today’s walking tour includes: Garden of Gethsemane, Pools of Bethesda, Caiaphas House & Dungeon, the Courtyard of Peter’s Confession, Upper Room of the Last Supper,  David's Tomb, Ecce Homo Arch, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Western Wall, Cardo, Jewish Quarters and Oriental Bazaars. Monday March 23

MODEL/SHRINE OF THE BOOK/HILLS OF JERUSALEM/KNESSET/YAD VASHEM/VIEW OF BETHLEHEM & SHEPHERD’S FIELD/GARDEN TOMB

After breakfast we begin with a visit to the Model of the Herodian City of Jerusalem dating back to the time of the Second Temple. Visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are on display. Travel to the Knesset, (Israeli Parliament), and continue to Yad Vashem -Memorial to the six million Jews that lost their lives in the Holocaust. Continue for a spectacular view of the city of Bethlehem and Shepherd’s Field. We will have the opportunity to browse through an authentic souvenir store where olive wood and antique items are on display. Next, we drive to the Garden Tomb where a Communion Service will be held. Tuesday March 24

FREE DAY IN JERUSALEM/OPTIONAL TOUR/FAREWELL DINNER

Breakfast in hotel. Leisure day... Enjoy! An optional tour to sites that were not included in the tour will be offered to you. In the evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner and say SHALOM  to our guide. (B/D)

TRANSFER TO AIRPORT/FLIGHT TO USA

After breakfast we transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for our flight back home.

TERMS & CONDITIONS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

RESERVATIONS & SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS: All reservations for this tour are confirmed upon receipt of your Registration Form and a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 per person, which is due upon reservation and no later than June 15, 2008. A second non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is due September 1, 2008. Final payment is due January 10, 2009.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS & SITES: All hotel accommodations are based on double occupancy with private bath. NOTE: We will attempt to find
a roommate for single travelers desiring to share
a room. However, if we are unable to find a roommate, or you do not accept our selection, the single room supplement will apply. The sequence of visits to sites may change according to the discretion of the tour operator and guide if they deem necessary. In case sequence is changed, all items on the itinerary will still be covered.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: The Initial Deposit and Second Deposit are non-refundable. Final payment is fully refundable, (excluding the non-refundable deposits of $300.00 per person), until January 10, 2009. Cancellations after January 10, 2009 become non-refundable and can only be recovered through a travel insurance policy. Please note that deposits and final payments for the tour cannot be changed from one person to another. All cancellations must be made in writing to Heavenly Tours. Travel insurance is highly recommended.

UNUSED SERVICES: No refund will be available for unused touring, meals or any other program components stated in the itinerary.

PASSPORT, VISA & VACCINATIONS: Valid passport for 6 months after the tour has ended is required. No vaccinations or visa are required from U.S. Citizens. Complete Passport information as requested in the enclosed Registration Form must be submitted to Heavenly International Tours prior to January 10, 2009.

TAXES & FEES INCLUDED: Entrance fees to all sites on scheduled tours. Porterage of ONE suitcase per person is included. 

FEES NOT INCLUDED: Passport Fees, Travel Insurance, meals, drinks, wines, liquors and beverages not mentioned in itinerary. Items of personal nature; such as phone calls, laundry, room service and sites other than those mentioned. 
Transfer to O'Hare Airport is optional and is not included in the price of the tour.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES:

Tips to guide, driver and hotel staff are not included, (Approximately $113.00 per person). Airport Departure Taxes, Security Fees and Fuel Surcharges charged by airlines and Governments are not included and will be invoiced to you with your final payment. The current rate of these fees is $330.00 per person and is subject to change.  

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Travel Insurance is optional. However, we highly suggest and
recommend the purchase of insurance. It is suggested that the insurance premium will be paid directly to the insurance company at the time of your initial deposit in order to cover the “Pre-existing Conditions Clause” of the insurance. AIR & LAND FARES: Air and land rates of this tour are based on current tariffs in effect for today, April 15, 2008. Flight tickets for this tour are based on NON-REFUNDABLE group airfare.

PURCHASE OF MERCHANDISE: Heavenly International Tours is not to be held responsible for any item/s purchased during the tour, not for their quality nor their prices. All and any purchase will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.

METHOD OF PAYMENTS: Check or Money Order only, made payable to: Heavenly International Tours.

LUGGAGE:  Each person is allowed (1) suitcase and a carry-on only, which will be handled for you throughout the tour.  Maximum size of suitcase is 29” high and maximum weight is 50 pounds.

TOUR DATES: As in any trans-Atlantic flight, tour dates may slightly change according to the requirements of the participating air carrier. Please allow yourself some flexibility. In the event dates and times of flights are changed, Heavenly Tours will not be held responsible and refunds will not be available based on this reason.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you do not have a current passport, please apply within the proper time limit. It can take 6 - 8 weeks to process a new Passport.


Please note that your Passport must be valid at least 6 months after the tour has ended.
