EGYPT
A Pilgrimage to the Land of Sacred Temples and Ancient Wisdom
With Pastor Karl & Dottie Schimpf

November 13 – 22, 2008

Personal Invitation

It is our pleasure to invite you to join us on what we believe will be the Ultimate Tour of Egypt. We will ride camels to the Giza Pyramids; we will drive across the desert to Alexandria where one of the finest libraries of antiquity was located. We will fly to Luxor to visit the Karnak Temple complex and spend 4 days cruising the Nile to the Valley of the Kings and Queens, to Komo Ombo where twin temples dedicated to Horus and Sobek are located, before arriving at Aswan and the granite quarry where the ancient obelisk some of us saw in Rome was carved. Returning to Cairo by air, we will visit the National Museum which contains the largest artifact collection from the times of the pharaohs I have ever seen. We will visit a Coptic Church attached to the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Mohammed Ali Mosque in the Old City of Cairo and walk through the bazaar with one last chance to purchase treasures from the shops. Our Farewell dinner will be aboard a ship on the Nile and include wonderful entertainment. I suspect this will be our last visit to Egypt. I hope you will consider joining us for an adventure I have dreamed of taking.
